Instagram jabs between Gal Gadot, Rotem Sela and Netanyahu about Jewish Arab equality

Instagram and other social media websites have been a place to vocalize opinions on social matters. Actress Gal Gadot takes a supportive stance of Rotem Sela's post over the ongoing inclusive battle of Jewish-Arab equality and also included quotes from the Bible/Torah to further her point in the article written by Itay Stern, a Haaretz contributor. However, there are many people who have strongly opposed Sela's post to the point where posts have escalated to violent tones. Netanyahu, who is Israel's Prime Minister, takes on the opposing side so strongly and his post not only excludes Arabs but quotes that the state of Israel is a state only for Jews. Sela has called out the Israeli government to not ignore the elephant in the room: meaning Jewish-Arab impartiality. Other celebrities and influencers have steered their opinions in support of Sela about improving Jewish-Arab relations.

In support of Stern's article, another columnist for Al-Monitor Israel Post and former editorial writer for Haaretz, Akiva Eldar mirrors Rotem Sela's viewpoint on inclusivity on Jews and Arabs on her Instagram post. Eldar notes Sela's post on her Instagram not only is clear and concise online but with the noted 800,000+ followers that could influence in support on her views or in Netanyahu's view that is in the strong opposition side. Netanyahu is quoted in Eldar's article about a strong right-wing government to support the only true Jewish only state of Israel in comparison to a weak left-agenda that would support connections between Jews and Arabs. In contrast from a liberal-leftist view, Amy Spiro for the Jerusalem Post offers an alternative in support to Netanyahu's Zionist view of Israel and what Netanyahu stresses on the importance of the meaning to a Jewish state for Jews and not for all other citizens. He responds to Sela with the Nation-Law - and he isn't wrong- in support for a Jewish state. The backlash in response from Netanyahu's post was not just for equal citizen treatment for the Arabs alone. The Jerusalem Post quotes that Sela also wants an inclusive government that supports the Druze, LGBTQ+, and other communities.

The point of view of Stern leans toward the supportive view of Sela's post. Not only he writes about Gadot's comments but other celebrities who share the same view and giving Sela credit to speak her mind against the right-wing agenda. Stern writes about how still in 2019, the discussion about Jewish and Arab relations are still the elephant in the room and have not been resolved. The opposition between either "for" improving relations with Arabs and "keeping Israel for Jews only" is still strong and going on that it rips between the best interests of all citizens versus a right-wing government. Sela's comments on her Instagram in Stern's article has been more on the praise side rather from an original,  pure Zionist perspective.
